Relocating to Munich

Postby geethadurai » Mon Jul 23, 2012 8:14 am

Hi, We are relocating to Munich in September. My husband's office is located at Fritz-Schaffer -Strabe 9. Where should we look for a house/apartment? My daughter is 3 yrs and I would also like to be placed near good schools.
Thanks

Welcome to EasyExpat & hope plans for your move are going well. A good place to start with your research is the Guide to Munich. If offers info on finding accommodation.

Thanks for the quick response. Would you know which area we should be looking for an apt? We were thinking it shouldnt be too far from the office yet also reasonably priced.

Unfortunately I don't Munich enough to point you in a direction, but the guide should help, as well as the ToyTown site. I also tweeted your question to our followers so hopefully someone can help.

Twitter user, Christian Höferle (@Hoeferle), recommended:

Glockenbach, Schwabing... RT @BlogExpat Relocating to Munich: What neighborhood
should an expat be looking at? bit.ly/OhZg3P #Germany

Hopefully the guide, etc. have been of use as well. Good luck!

hi,

the suggestions of Christian Höferle are nice areas to live, but for the location you are looking for totally off
My suggestion would be Trudering area or Neubiberg
Good Luck
Nico
