    I would like to relocate/immigrate to Germany. While I may not be financially secure, I am willing to do a labourers work initially to supplement whatever I can get from assistance.
    I also have a TESOL certificate issued from the 'Canadian Institute of English'. I do have German citizenship so I would guess that will help in bypassing some of the immigration paperwork. Any advice? What is the best website to look on for jobs in Germany? I do have a couple of relatives that I am aware of living there, but am not very certain if they will assist in helping me.
    So I do not want to count on them in case of that fact. One thing is that I am hoping that my neutral accent will help me obtain some ESL work, since I was raised in Canada with English as my primary language. I do understand and speak a little bit of German. Many thanks.

    My husband & I moved to Berlin just wanting to experience life abroad and continue to develop his language skills (he is a German major).

    He found work fairly quickly through an unconventional route. It was American football season and we found a bar that showed the games. we started frequenting the games and made friends, American, German, etc that connected us with where they worked. He became an English teacher at a sprachcenter for children and though it is not a well payed job at first, he has enjoyed it. I found work writing online travel guides by checking English listings on Craigslist.

    This allowed us to scrape together a living in very cheap Berlin, but in other cities, like Munich, you might need more income. Working at a bigger school (especially with your training) should be useful. I would also, of course, recommend learning as much german as possible before leaving. If you wait till you are there, the volkshochschule offers intensive courses for around 150euros a course. For more information, log onto http://www.mvhs.de/

    Here is a list of sites to find work:
    * http://www.jobsabroad.com/listings.cfm/ : a listing of various jobs in Munich
    * http://www.multilingualvacancies.com/ : focuses on multi-lingual jobs in Munich
    * http://www.expatriates.com/classifieds/ : a listing of low-level, freelance/part-time jobs
    * http://www.toytowngermany.com/wiki/Jobs_in_Munich : a website that offers English speaking jobs in Germany, mainly Munich
    * http://www.justlanded.com/english/: a listing of jobs for foreigners along with advice on salaries, terms and conditions etc
    * http://www.englishlanguagejobs.com : a listing of English speaking jobs in the Netherlands
    * http://www.4icj.com : an overview of head hunters, salaries and jobs across various sectors

    hope that helps! Prost
