Hi all,

I'm a British citizen, and have been living with my Japanese girlfriend for over 2 years to date. I've checked quite thoroughly the rules for applying unmarried partner visa for her, and have prepared all supporting documents. Just before I decided to make the application, one question struck me: would it be considered as "living together" if she entered UK as a visitor for some part of the 2-year period? Here's her visa status for the past 2 years we've been living together:

* Month 1 to 5 - student visa
* Month 5 to 12 - visitor visa x2
* Month 12 to 25 (present) - student visa

We have supporting documents for each year of us living together, e.g. tenancy agreement, council tax bill, bank statements, etc, although some are under joint names and some aren't. But we've got 16+ items altogether, with 6 or 7 different sources.

Could anyone please give us some advice on this? Any help, advice or past experience will be very much appreciated... Thanks very much in advance!

Thanks a lot for the quick reply. Yes, she has always been here legally - just as a visitor for the 7 months in the middle of the 2 years. So I hope this is not a problem?
