I am a canadian visiting the UK for the next 6 mths. I am here to see and live with my boyfriend. I am self employed and my business is in canada and can be run from here and all my banking and income goes thru the canadian banking system. My passport does not have a visa, it is stamped "leave to remain 6 months. " I don't need to work here so that is not an issue. What I want to know is do I have to go back to Canada in 6 months in order to be allowed back in the UK? Or can I simply go to another European country like Italy for a few days and return to the Uk again for another 6 mths? Thanks for any help you can offer.
