Can someone please explain why a settlement visa to the UK costs FIVE HUNDRED POUNDS??? That's disgusting. I can't imagine more than a few hours (at most) going into the decision.

As far as I know price is universaly applied.

Yes, the same price for the UK visas is applied in the whole world. But it's so annoying. When I was going to live in Germany (married to a german) the visa was so much cheaper. 500 pounds is really too much for a visa!
