    Hi!

First of all, what will happen during a job interview is of course very dependent on the type of job but here are some general tips!

First of all, the Dutch are very punctual so make sure you arrive on time (preferably 10 minutes early), being late will definitely cost you some points!

As for how to dress, this also depends on the type of job, but in general it is better to dress too formal than too informal. Make sure your shoes are polished!

As for the actual interview, make sure you bring a copy of your CV, and if possible some official copies of your relevant diploma's. One of the most popular questions you will be asked is to name your strong and weak points. It would be good to think about these in advance, and make sure that your weak points do not come of as weak, but as aspects of yourself you wish to improve.

Other than that I would say the best thing would be to just go on some interviews and see for yourself what the Dutch are like!

If you are looking for some more advice on the matter you could always look up expertise in labour mobility. It is a consultancy company in Rotterdam which gives workshops and lectures on job hunting and dutch (management) culture, as well as a range of other activities. I am currently working there as an intern and I have already learnt a lot about the Dutch working culture and job hunting.

I hope my tips will help you find your job! :)
