£60k is a pretty good salary (although London is the city of extremes!). If your wife does not work she will be able to take care of your little one, which will save money from the nursery (~£70/day!). If she does you shouldn't have a problem to afford the nursery cost.

You might not have the same high standard of living as in Singapore. However you will definitely be able to afford a 2 or 3 bedroom accommodation minimum in zone 2 or 3 for example (zone 1 is a fortune, but some area are feasible, although not that good with a child probably).

Hmmm it is a bit vague. When you say West for example, are you talking about W1 or W11 ?
I ran a quick comparison on prices, for example West here: http://www.rightmove.co.uk/
Prices go from £550 pcm (Ealing) to £550 pw (£2383 pcm)
In average I would say that you can expect something ~£1000 in zone 3-4, and the closer to the centre the more expensive of course.

Not at all. Actually you were providing some good information. However we tend to be suspicious when people say they live in a country but are posting from somewhere else in the world . You wouldn't imagine the number of spams and scams we have to deal with everyday.

And also the fact that they claim to be from London when they post from Pakistan for example, or multiple similar posting not relating to the topics, or posting a link right at the beginning, or not even bothering about what people are asking...etc.
After a while it's pretty easy to recognise, even if one can always make mistake...
