Have anyone idea where in UK chemical industry is well developed?

I am searching for a job anywhere in UK as a chemical ingeneer, within technology, laobratories or sales department. Therefore, I would like to move in a town, where chemical industry is well developed. This would give me more economic securitiy in case of losting job.

I am very sorry because I haven't specified my question enough. I am searching for steel or similar industry (special chemical indrustry, treating waste water and so on) , where it is more probability to get a job because of my previous experience. In spite of that I will send an application to suggested companies.
