A trip within the central area of Frankfurt costs between €1.90 and €2.10, and a journey to the suburbs costs between €3 and €5 approx.

Prices for flats depend a lot on the area where you want to stay, if you go to the Westend, Bornheim it is very nice but also very expensive.

2-3 room flats (in Germany you count not only the "bedrooms" but also the living room) cost "cold" between 400 and 700 EUR. On top of that you have to pay heating and water.

If pets are allowed depends on the landlord, but generally I don't think it's a big issue.

Frankfurt is very nice in summer, there are several outdoor events like "Sound of Frankfurt", "Museumsuferfest" etc. It is really a nice place to be to have "Aeppler" in summer in one of the beer gardens!

Provisionsfrei means "free of commission" - in the context of flat hunting it means that you do not have to pay one or two months of rent to the agent. You just pay the price you see in the advert

With "take-home pay" you mean net after tax, right?

If you look at the offers for 2-3 room flats (unfurnished) you can get a flat for 550 EUR. You have to add costs for heating and water, + TV + phone.
If you add another 200 EUR for that, it leaves you still with 1150 EUR.

That is 40 EUR per day for food and leisure activities.

Germany's grocery costs are very low compared with the neighbour countries in Europe, so you will get very far with 40 EUR.

2,300.00 USD = 1,715.19 EUR

You should be fine with this salary, dependend on your standard of living!
