    Hello all,

    First, I'm new to this site so I apologize if this question has been posted before, but I just wasn't able to find it in the feed. And thank you all for all of the information that has been given on this site, to say it's been helpful would be an understatement.

    I'm a US citizen and my English fiance and I are currently in the UK. We would like to get married in the US, but want to live here in the UK. Is the K-1 visa the appropriate visa for us to file for in order to have our wedding in the States? Even if we don't want to live there now? Has anyone been married in the States on a visitor visa? Did you have any problems with your spouse visa to the UK as a result? Or has anyone tried to return to the US years after? Does anyone have any experience they could share?

    Thank you in advance for any information you can provide.

    Have a friend that...

    Hi, I don't know if this is any help or not but I have a friend that married a UK citizen in the states and then her now husband and her went to the U.K. embassy in the states and got lead into the right direction on what to do n so fourth and then now shes got a visa to live in the U.K. In short, I don't think you need to file any forms to get married...just do it and then go to a U.K. embassy in the states and they'll tell you what you will need to file for you to get your visa...i think! That's what she told me anyways. ;-)
