    If anyone can answer this post, that would be great :eek:)

    Does anyone have any idea how much my visa (Spousal to the UK from US) will cost? I've been reading about various situations on this forum. From what I understand, my boyfriend will enter the US on a visitors visa (not telling them that we're getting married), then head to Vegas and get married (by Elvis of course) which he only needs to supply his passport and birth certificate (?) and then head to the British consult to apply for my Spousal visa (in Los Angeles).
    After i receive my Spousal visa (any idea on time) then I can head to the UK and be allowed to work (or find a job)....... Please let me know if this is pretty much how it's going to work. I'll be sure to come back and let everyone know what happened!!

    I think its about $450.I have seen it somewhere few days ago and it was £260,thats universally applied.Todays exchange would make it about $460.

    You can start looking for work and work from the moment you set foot on the British soil ;)

    National Insurance Number and Bank Account only needed.

    applying for a uk spouse visa

    My Australian fiance (I'm British) and I are planning to get married in Gibraltar in the next couple of months. Once we're married, how will we go about applying for a UK spouse visa for him? Will he have to go back to Australia (he doesn't have any visa which will allow him to stay for longer than 6 months in the UK)? How long will it take for the spouse visa to be issued, and should it be straightforward? I am pregnant so we don't want to be separated for any length of time.
