    Need a cheap apartment in Milan for a year or more. Have checked newspapers and agencies. If anyone has an idea OR an apartment they might be willing to rent to responsible person--please email

    It's a bit vague without any other information. What rent, what location, how many bedrooms... ? You say you checked agencies, why didn't it work? Did you leave an ad in our small ad section?

    My friend is going to be attending design school in Milan. She is Japanese, adult, responsible, speaks Italian, sweet. I have been posting on some of the expat sites that I am a member of...she has contacted agencies in Milan. She rented an apartment - excited- only to be called by the agency saying the landlord wanted more money per month-nearly double the agreed upon rent.

    I was hoping that someone, expat preferably, someone who is sympathetic to a foreigner's situation, would perhaps have an apartment or knowledge of one that they could recommend.

    She is hoping for rent in the 600-680 Euro per month...
