    Hi ,

I just wanted to understand if I can apply for a permanent residence in the UK now. I have been 4 years in the UK under a Tier 2 visa. I wanted to change my visa to a normal visa so I am not dependent on my Company but I was looking through the UK boarder info and it says the permanent residency is only given to family members of EEA citizens?

    Is that right?

Is there any way I can apply for a normal visa so I am not in an sponsored visa anymore?

Thank you very much in advance,

    Kind Regards,
    Nareni
