Hello,

I'm a Spanish guy trying to get married with a Japanese girl who's here on a Tier-5 Young mobility scheme under the EEA regulations.

Her 2 years visa is expiring in 3months and a few days and I've now read that if you want to get married in the UK you need to ask for a Certificate of Approval at least 3 months before your visa expires, so we're almost rushing things already as we didn't know before.

A few questions in case you guys can help with any, we're a little bit lost :S

1- Do 3 months look enough to get the CoA from the UKBA, get all the required papers together (certificate of birth, residence, translations, etc), give notice to the register, wait the min of 15 days and get marry?

2- If it sounds do-able, I've then read that you need to apply for a residence card through form EEA2 from within the UK. I'm sure that's going to take a lot of months to get processed and her visa will be well expired by then, will it be ok for her to stay here whilst the decision is being made? or does it need to leave the country?
