Mobile phone in Brussels

Postby zsxd2345 » Sun Oct 11, 2009 5:42 pm

Hi,

My partner and I are moving to Brussels on the 22nd October. We both have i-Phone contracts with O2 that run out in January. What will be our best option after this? We want to be able to call each other in Belgium, plus friends/work colleagues in Belgium. But also our friends and family back in England. We also use the internet a fair bit too. It is also important to note that I will be back in the UK for 1 week every 6 weeks for my job so I'll want to be able to use my phone whilst I'm over here aswell.

Are there any mobile phone plans in Belgium that let you use inclusive minutes/texts whilst abroad or to call abroad? Or any that let you have a reduced cost?

It doesn't have to be a contract, it can be pay as you go - anything that will avoid a hefty phone bill!

Thanks.

You might want to check out Belgacom. They're not always the cheapest but they do sometimes have some nice options. For example, on my home phone they have an option where I could specify one country and make cheap (free at nights and on weekends) calls just to that country. For me the USA made the most sense, but if you did something like for the UK it would probably work for you. Their calls within Belgium are also pretty reasonable.
