Meet English speaking people in Milan

Postby va_sco » Wed Oct 05, 2005 11:45 am

Hello everyone,

My name is Valeria, I am a 28 year old Italian girl.

I have lived for 4 years in England and have been back in Italy for just 1 year now... the thing is that I miss speaking English everyday - so badly! Therefore I am loking for some new English speaking friends in Milan.

I will move to Milan on 2nd November and was wondering if anyone fancied meeting up to explore the city together and speak some English (and Italian too, of course, if you wish to practice).

I also speak German.

Looking forward to your messages.

Hey there!

It's nice to get a reply... eventually! Thank you, Helen, for getting in touch.

So what brings you back to Milan? Where in England have you been? I've lived in Nottingham and absolutely loved it!

I am getting organised and have gathered lots of information about international societies and groups in Milan. If you are interested, I'll be more than happy to share what I have found out with you. Maybe we could go together to a few of these meetings together?! I've seen they organise all sorts: from aperitivi to dinners to badminton matches... Else, if you preferred a quiet chat and a coffee, that would be nice too.

Please feel free to get in touch.

Hope to hear from you soon,
Valeria

Hello Helen!

Thanks - I'll send a little note to your e-mail address then (later though as I'm at work now... risking to get caught any minute! :)

Talk soon - looking forward to it!

Hello Valeria,

I'm a 28 years old german boy, just moved 2 weeks ago to milan due to my work. Maybe I'm not perfect at all in english but also speak german quite well and needs to train my italian. The italian cours needs to be supported by any privat activities and not only on work. But i guess cinema is not the best idea... :-)

I looking forward to hearing from you.
cheers Timo

Hello everyone

I too have just moved to Milan to work (2 weeks ago). I don't know anyone in Milan yet, so I'm really looking forward to making some friends!

I'd like to come along and meet all of you if you intend to meet up some time. I'd also love to hear about any groups you think sound interesting, especially groups that do activities such as sports or hiking around the lakes.

I am English and don't speak any other languages, but intend to start an Italian language course asap.

Look forward to hearing from you!

Joan

Re Hello,

seems there are more people here but its difficult to setup an aperitive, so what about this week or weekend?? Be it French or English, should not matter too much, so let's join forces, what dya think? Anyone with good knowledge of the local gastronomy/bar scene to suggest a good place to meet??
Ciao,
