Hi all,

Not that I am advocating living illegally in Spain or in any of the Schengen countries, but can anyone (US preferred) speak to any problems they had staying in Spain beyond the 90 day tourist period?

Do they reallllly check? What is the worst that could happen if one stayed, say, an additional 60 days or so? Do they check the stamps or do they slide your passports?

Just checking -- I currently don't qualify for a VISA (I have a year off from the school where I work, and wanted to simply travel for a year -- have been told this is impossible). Is it?
