Hi, I'm currently looking to improve my french and was wondering if anyone has any advice.
Would anyone around my age like to do a language exchange (my English for your French) either on skype or in person in Paris? I am a qualified English teacher (I completed the Cambridge University CELTA qualification) and have taught for one year.
Failing that, does anyone know of any groups that do this sort of thing in Paris?
I am also looking for French lessons, group or one-to-one. The only problem is I am a student and so skint! I can afford around €15/hour max. Any suggestions?

Hi Ben and Nathalie, I'm also a student living in Paris and I'd love to practice my French. I speak English, and I will be teaching it this summer (though I have not yet taught before). Could we work something out as well, or do you know of exchange conversation groups?
Hi Katherine, nice to hear from another English teacher! Will you be teaching in Paris? Perhaps we could form a group with the people on this thread? So far we have two English speakers and two French speakers and hopefully more to come!
This association also seems to offer conversation groups, but I have no experience of them and it costs some money.
hi Ben, Forming a group like that sounds great! If possible I'd like not to spend money, but from google searches it seems like that might be the way to go. I'll be teaching in the States in July, to groups of refugees learning English
