Does any one know of a good, reliablle, source of information about things my landlord is obligated to do/provide especially as regards building standards and habitability........it seems we have a massive damp problem that is making its self apparent, we could not tell in the heat of early september but now it is very, very obvious! Now heating has been switched on we'll leave it on over the weekend....but not sure if it will be sufficient to dry it out, and it certainly will not be cheap if we have to do this a lot..

Information on the internet is contradictory so I wonder if there is a local government information service, like Citizens Advice Bureau or a housing department who give info on this sort of thing?
