Apologies if my question has been asked before...

I hold Australian and Irish passports and I am also eligible for the UK Ancestry visa. My fiance is an Australian citizen. We both live in Australia and we would like to move to the UK to work.

Would anyone be able to clarify my options for getting us to the UK? Is it easier to go through the EEA route than the UK Ancestry Visa? Should we get married in Australia before we apply for the visas? We'd prefer not to because weddings are so darn expensive and moving to the UK is our priority.

We have been together for 5 years but we don't currently live together (although we have in the past). I'm worried about coming up with sufficient documents to get him into the UK without being married first.

Thanks so much for your advice in advance.
