    Hi Everyone

I am a Dutch student and I would love to do my internship in London. Though it is very hard to find a company that is interested in interns. So I am thinking about an internship agency. Is there anyone with experience? I have no clue how that works.

    Regards

You should check out the EasyExpat guide to London to get started: http://www.easyexpat.com/en/guides/unit ... london.htm . There is a section on internships: http://www.easyexpat.com/en/guides/unit ... abroad.htm

Some other things to consider include:

There are online search engines to help you find an internship
    Efinancial Careers- http://jobs.efinancialcareers.com/Gradu ... ips/uk.htm
    Intern Abroad- http://www.internabroad.com/search/engl ... s-abroad-1
    Transitions Abroad- http://www.transitionsabroad.com/listin ... rope.shtml

It is also possible to apply directly with organizations. Research your area of interest and find if there are any organizations with online applications.

    Networking
If you know anyone in London- get in touch! It's not necessarily what you know, but who you know. Friends and family, or any contact you have in your desired business may know of a position. There are also professional social networks like Linkedin which allows for people to make business contacts.

    Programs
To secure an internship aboard, it is usually easiest to find a company that sets-up the internship. Some agencies require a fee to secure a placement. Such agencies may include:
AIESEC (http://www.aiesec.org/)- is a student-run, non-profit organization which offers paid internships in business and technical fields in around 90 countries and territories.

    Best of luck!

Hi, I work for a company that has offices in Europe including the Netherlands, it's a marketing affiliate network and we take interns in. I can make a few inquiries if you like? What are your qualifications?

    Regards,

    Jamal

    Hi guys

Thank you so much for your replies, I will give them a try. Also for Jamal, does your company also have an office in London, because I really would love to go there.

Anybody has experience with an agency? There are so many and I would like to know how it works.

    Cheerio!

Try http://www.kapeinternships.com. These guys have a small team and a very efficient process, I was able to secure my internship in about 3 weeks and I couldn't be more pleased with the service.

    Cheers.
