    Hi everyone,

I have a couple of questions.
First of all, let me explain my plan.
I want to go to a university in the UK to work hard and recieve my Doctor of Veterinary Medicene & Surgery, Degree(s). Here is my dilemma,
I am Canadian born, However, I also have my UK passport from my father (scotlish born).Anyways, if I want to go to a university in the UK will I have to pay international fees or 'home' fees? I understand in order to pay 'home' fees you must live in the UK for a min of 3 years, before school begins, is that correct?
Are their any other rules/guidelines, I should be aware of?
Also can someone explain to me exactly how A-Level's work? (we have a different system here).
Thank you so much, in advanced,
    Mims

EasyExpat: I saw one of your earlier posts to another member.

It is true that if you buy a piece of property you are considered an ordinary resident, would that mean that I could get into a Uni as a local?
    Thanks,
    Mims

In term of immigration, if you buy a property, you are considered as an ordinary resident indeed. However if you want the full status going to citizenship you will have to fill the form EEC1. I do not know how it works for UNI and what are the criteria.

PS: even as an ordinary resident, you can still be classified as "non domiciled for tax purposes" if you tick the right box on your tax return form. ;)
