Try to read other threads here that mention Unmarried Partner visa/permit. There have been several discussions on that which you might find helpful.

Alternatively, you can go to the Home Office website and do a seach on Umarried Partners. One thing I remember is that to apply for a visa/permit for your partner, you will be asked to submit proof of being partners, such as bank account statements with both your names on it. That will b every beneficial to the success of your application.
