Bonjour,

Ma femme part travailler à Chicago à partir de janvier sur visa J-1.
Nous sommes mariés donc je vais aussi avoir un visa J-2.

Par contre, pour travailler, j'ai besoin d'une autorisation de travail EAD.
La demande semble prendre environ 3 mois.
Pour faire sa demande, il faut être sur le sol américain.

Est il possible de repartir en France pour travailler en attendant d'avoir le permis aux USA ?
Y a t il des permissions spéciales à demander avant de partir ?

My wife will work in Chicago from January on a J-1 visa.
We got married so I'll have a J-2 visa.

I need a work permit EAD.
The request seems to take about 3 months.
and you have to be in America to apply.

Is it possible to go back to France to work until I have the permit in the U.S.?
Are there any special permissions to ask before going ?
