I have worked under a UK contract for a french company in both London and Paris and after 2 1/2 years i was made redundant while i was on assignment in Paris.
Now i would like to claim unemployment benefits in France.
I just received the E104 and the E301 from HMRevenue&Customs in England
My only concern is the following:
I have been informed that in order to receive french unemployment benefits in France i have to at least worked one day or better 4 weeks in France before applying for those benefits.
In my case, having worked in France several months BUT with a UK CONTRACT, does that count in order to receive unemployment benefits in France or do i have to work in France at least one day with a FRENCH CONTRACT to be eligible to benefits in France???
Il vaut mieux toutefois avoir retravaillé au moins une journée ou 4 semaines en France pour percevoir des indemnités qui tiennent la route. Sinon ce sont les droits ouverts en GB qui sont transférés en France, c'est à dire pas grand chose. [22-09-2006]
Thank you for helping me with this matter !
You can certainly reply in french.
