Dear all,

My husband and I are from New Zealand and he is eligible for a UK Ancestry visa. He has not yet applied for it as we aren't in New Zealand at the moment. I understand I can apply for the ancestry dependency visa and I have a question regarding to when I can apply for it:

Can I apply for the visa at the same time as my husband applies for his Ancenstory visa or must I wait until his visa is approved?

The UK high commision in NZ unfortunately does not clarify this on their website and neither does the UK border agency. However, I have seen several immigration services stating that we can apply together. for example,

I don't know how reliable this is though. Does anyone here have experience in applying for the ancestry dependency visa who can help me out??
