Saw this site which is great, really useful info and hoping you can help me with a query.

If a british citizen marrys a non-uk citizen (from south-america)
in Spain - once the marriage certificate is obtained, what would be the process for the couple to come to the uk.

If they went to the british embassy with the certificate would they still need to request a spouse visa - or would the spanish marriage certificate have validity for the couple to come to uk.

Eu citizen - lives & works in uk
non-eu citizen - has spanish card of residency (but not full nationality)
