Eat Out for a Good Cause During May 21-28

Postby jahreszeit » Fri Apr 27, 2012 5:45 am

Hi, I’m a volunteer from HEIFER, an international charity organization dedicated to help poverty-hit populations to achieve sustainable self-reliance through capacity building, skill training and community development assistance.

Currently, we’re launching a campaign called “GIVE 1 FOURTH” in honor of World Hunger Day, in Shanghai during May 21st-28th. The idea is to encourage people to buy food from a partner restaurant/bar/bakery, with 1/4 of the proceeds being donated to help villagers in Turpan, Xinjiang, to develop their karez wells, an irrigation solution in deserts. You can simply dine in our partner restaurants/bars/bakeries, and help those Xingjiang farmers with their infrastructures. This is one of the easiest ways to help end hunger, while enjoying the many delicious Restaurant Partners in Shanghai.

For more information and the Restaurant Partner list check out our website- http://www.give1fourth.org
We put the FUN in FUNdraising!
