We are interested by your feedback on the cost of living in Russia. With Easy Expat we have already a useful tool to compare the cost of living in some major cities in the world.

However we do not cover all the countries, nor all the destination where you can eventually decide to expatriate.

If you live in Russia, you can help the community and give information about the cost of living in Russia. You might be able to give indication and comments on the needs:
Food (what to expect, what to find).
Accommodation price in Russia. Rent?
Transport (public transport but also the necessity and cost of using a car)
Services (gaz, electricity, telephone, internet...)
Tax
Health, Education
Entertainment (restaurant, cinema, theatre...)

According to “Azbuka Nedvizhimosti” real estate agency average monthly rental payment in Moscow during January 03 – January 09, 2011 was 69,900.00 rubles. Using conversion rate of 30.30 rubles for 1 dollar we get the rent worth 2,636.96 (United States dollars).

I have a blog which tells about cost of living in Russia's second largest city - Saint Petersburg (Sankt Peterburg).

I shall try to update it every half of the year.
