    Hi all,

I'm moving to the Netherlands from London this January, to start a 6 month internship at the International Criminal Court in the Hague. I've been to the city once for a few days, and to be honest I found it pretty dull. I have a lot of friends living in Amsterdam, so I am considering living there and commuting daily. My questions are:

    1) is this actually doable on a daily basis? I took the train a few times from AMS to the den haag and it took just under an hour, is it a common commute?
    2) i'm having trouble working out the costs! I saw theres a monthly abonnement i can get for 300euros?? seems really expensive to me, is there a discounted pass available for those who live in amsterdam and work in the hague, or for younger people? (im 23). Also, I don't think i can benefit from the 40% reduction pass, as I will have to be at work by 9am, or possibly 9.30...although can I get it for my return ticket?

    Thanks!
