My partner and I are intending to register a civil partnership in the UK. I have UK citizenship, but he is from South Africa (in the country on a 2 year visa - up at the start of April).
We tried to get a COA form, but were 2 days late (had to be with 3 months left on the visa still).
We want to get an entry clearance for him to come back from SA, then register the partnership, and then apply for the FLR.
We are having trouble confirming the exact requirements of the visa, and are not sure if he will need to show he's got a return ticket to South Africa or wether we merely need to show we have enough money to support ourselves while he is unable to work.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Or know where we can find the information? Cheers
