    Hi,

As we are buying our first flat together :p my partner (Italian) and I (French) need to transfer a big lump of money but I'm not sure what the rules are corresponding money laundery and charges?

Is anyone have been in the situation?

There should not be any immigration-related problem sending the money to the UK, any charges you incur will be bank charges only, not aware of anything else.

You may however end up paying UK tax on the amount sent (if not already done so) as it will be treated as income remitted to the UK unless you can prove otherwise.

[EDIT: moved to the forum Living and Working Abroad: UK, as this is not an immigration issue]
