I am returning to the UK later this year and need to have blood samples from my pets sent to a UK lab for testing. The problem is i cannot find a carrier to take the shipment despite it being packed as per IATA guidelines.I have tried DHL and the rep for FEDEX.
Has anyone else encountered this problem.

You may need to consult with a pet shipping company. I recommend our services site, Expat-Quotes, pet relocation page: http://www.expat-quotes.com/directory/g ... tation.htm. We have an article on "Expat Pets: Bringing along Fido" that covers generalities and specifics of moving pets.

Have you tried consulting PETS directly (https://www.gov.uk/take-pet-abroad/overview)? Maybe they can offer advice. Anyone else?
