    Hi,

I am Australian and my wife is Czech. We live in Australia. We are planning to go to Czech Republic soon for a few months and then onto UK to live/work for 6 months. Due to the 6 month expiry of the family permit if I apply for it in Australia it will be almost expired by the time we get to UK. I don't want to have to apply for residence stamp/card in UK because we want to do lots of short trips around europe whilst based in the UK (as I think you have to send in passsport to apply for residence).

    Q. Can I apply for UK family permit from within Czech Republic?

    Cheers

Yes, you can. Although that might take some time as they process visa applications in regional centres, meaning your application will be sent either to Warszaw or Dusseldorf.
