Any Motorbike riders in the forum?

Postby josemariamf » Sat Apr 14, 2012 8:22 pm

Hi everyone and thanks for reading!
I'm still wondering whether I shall bring my motorbike to Stockholm or not, and to decide I would like to know a few things about having a bike in Stockholm. Here are my doubts.
- I tried to find a motorbikers forum where I could ask all those things, but I've been unsuccessful so far. Do you know any?
- Would I need to pay a tax to drive in the centre (like cars)?
- Can motorbikes easily park in the city? Motorbike parkings? Is it allowed to park in the street?
- is it common for houses to have an underground garage? Are there many underground garages in the city were I could park my bike during the cold months?
Tack!!

A great place to start is with the expat guide to Stockholm. It offers a range of info for moving abroad. You may also want to check out expat blogs in Sweden and see what their experience has been.

I also found some information from an English language news site in Sweden that may be of help to you: http://www.thelocal.se/discuss/index.ph ... opic=46540

Anyone else have experience with this or can offer advice?
