ADVICE ON LONDON AREAS: HELP!

Postby munuma » Thu Jul 27, 2006 3:58 am

DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY THOUGHTS AS TO WHETHER THESE AREAS IN SOUTH EAST LONDON WOULD BE SAFE AND GOOD FOR A SINGLE WOMAN...
FOREST HILL, CRYSTAL PALACE, SYDENHAM. MY WORK WILL BE IN CENTRAL LONDON--HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO COMMUTE ROUGHLY, HOW EXPENSIVE, AND SINCE THESE PLACES I UNDERSTND DON'T HAVE TUBE, HOW DO YOU GET TO CENTRALLONDON?

WOULD I ALSO FIND THINGS LIKE GYMS ETC IN THESE AREAS...THE PRICES LOOK GREAT FOR THE SPACE IN THESE AREAS AND I
CAN'T THINK OF THE THOUGHT OF LIVING IN A TINY ONE BDR ESPECIALLY COMING IN FROM THE US WHERE WE ARE USED TO A LOT OF SPACE.

MANY THANKS

Hello--

Around Aldwych.

My budget is between 650-700 pounds a month (may be willing to stretch a tad bit). Ideally I wo uld like a 2 bdr or 1 bdr and a little study room or something.
I am finding that london is really expensive and the thought of being crammed in a small one bedroom is making me uncomfortable.

I am willing to handle about a 45 min or so door to door commute -I wont have a car. So if necessary I am willing to be away from my place of work as long as it has good connections.
Given these criteria where could I concentrate...that won;t be expensive, reasonable neighbourhood and I would get some space...

Many thanks for any suggestsion

Hello,

I have got something available at 10-15 minutes from Waterloo.

Aldwych, the other side of the bridge :) crossing in a few minutes.

Email me, I will send you some photos of the accommodation.
