Accommodation in Mumbai

Postby balabumbum » Mon Jan 03, 2011 11:57 pm

Guys,
I am moving to India to set up an office for a technology company . I plan to arrive to Mumbai in the first week of Feb and stay there as long as it takes. I would be doing a lot of business travel when i am there, so I am looking for some kind of shared accommodation. Is there anyone who is already settled there, who might be interested to rent or sub-lease part of his/her house or flat, until i figure out what ought to be doing long term?. or can anyone give me some pointers to find such accommodations if this is not the best forum ? Thanks in advance for your responses.

I also appreciate any suggestions on the best localities to stay, from the expat point of view.

Cheers.

Congrats on your move! Have you already checked out the easy expat gide to Mumbai (http://www.easyexpat.com/en/mumbai.htm)? Looking at the section on accomadation, it sounds like flatsharing is extremely common & some of the best sites are:
http://mumbai.click.in/classifieds/real-estate/
http://mumbai.locanto.in

Hope this helps!

Ha- the snow has been a bit much, but I'll survive. Berlin is great no matter the season.

Speaking of favorite cities, I spent my honeymoon in San Francisco. It really is a great city. I am from Seattle originally.

Enjoy & happy 2011!
