Firstly, hello everyone!

I'm Lisa a 24 year old Graduate of Graphic Communications looking to move to New York and work for Condé Nast Publishing.

I've wanted to move to New York for a long time, having been out of University for a year I have started to carve out a career as a Illustrator commissioner for a large UK company. However after thinking carefully I have decided that the UK just doesn't feel like the right place for me. Most of our clients at work are American and every day I'm reminded of my dream.

I'm quite happy to stay and work here for a while as i know it's a costly and long process but can anyone give me an idea of where to start?

I'm so glad I found this forum, it's perfect!

Also if anyone knows people who work for Conde Nast that would be amazing!
