Winter sports in particular is understandably popular considering that the entire country lies in the vicinity of the Alps. In the winter months, ice skating, skiing and snowboarding are the main sporting activities pursued.

Sailing, windsurfing, mountain biking, horseback riding, golf, swimming, tennis and football are the summer sports of choice.
