Television
There are two public TV channels in Sweden -
SVT1 and SVT2 - and a number of private operators offering many foreign channels
are also available. Televisions can be bought, rented or leased. Check out the

As in many countries the Swedish state broadcasting service is financed by
a television license fee. It costs SEK 500 per
quarter and everyone who owns, rents or borrows a television set has to pay

Internet
Most hotels provide a free broadband internet connection
to guests and many public libraries also have free internet terminals. There
are now Sidewalk Express internet cafés in many European cities including Stockholm.
These centres provide a large number of internet terminals which you can use
after buying a ticket from the ticket machine. Connection to the inernet costs
two euros or nineteen kr. per hour. Sidewalk cafés are located at the Stockholm
central train station, as well as at Arlanda arport.

As far as domestic internet services are concerned
the largest DSL providers in Sweden are TeliaSonera and Bredbandsbolaget, although
others are also available. A connection with Bredbandsbolaget, for example,
will cost from 199 SEK/€21 per month for 1 Mbit/s adsl, to 349 SEK/€42 per month
for 24Mbit/s adsl. With TeliaSonera you’ll be paying about the same: 250kbit/s
adsl for 199 SEK/month (€21).
Com Hem is Sweden’s largest cable internet provider. They charge 99 SEK/ €10
per month for 256kbit/s download and 128kbit/s upload. For 24Mbit/s download
and 1Mbit/s upload you’ll pay 339 SEK/month (€36) and 8Mbit/s upload capacity
is offered in some areas for an extra 60SEK.
