    There are a plethora of volunteer opportunities in México City and a variety of ways to search for the opportunity that meets your needs:

    Au Pair Mexico offers a volunteer program in which to improve Spanish language skills as well as aiding social networks, hospitals, and, schools. The program starts every Monday, is about 4 weeks, and requires applicant to be at least 18 years old. For more information and how to apply, go to their website at: www.aupairmexico.com.

    Mexico Marine Research Conservation offers the chance to volunteer in Mexico on this marine conservation expedition and help to protect the world's second largest barrier reef - the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef. As you live in a remote tropical paradise you will learn to scuba dive from a beginner's level (earning PADI Open Water and Advanced Open Water Diver certificates), help on community development initiatives and experience the beautiful world that exists beneath the waves!Durations of Program: 5-8 weeks, 9-12 weeks and 3-6 months Typical Duration of Program: 5-8 weeks.

    AJWS Alternative Breaks offers one to three-week long service programs to college students in partnership with campus-based organizations. Students experience grass roots sustainable development and focus on the interrelationship of social justice, service and Judaism. Since its inception in 2000, over 750 students from 32 schools around the country have participated in an AJWS AB. This intensive service-learning experience lays the foundation for participants follow-up activities, from sharing their experiences of the developing world with others on their return home, to committing themselves to lives of advocacy and activism.

    For a chance to participate in reversing the effects of global warming, or preserving nature reserves, or conserving local flamingo populations, Volunteers Abroad has a variety of opportunities. Other volunteer projects include directing IT classes for Mexican children, teaching English and working at turtle hatcheries.

    For the opportunity to teach English in Mexico, Global Volunteers offers a variety of positions. Teacher training is available and placements are fast.
