    Water

The Los Angeles Department of Water & Power provides for the LA area. Service can be set-up and monitored on their website, or you may call 1(800) 342-5397 for additional service. Water prices work in a two tier system. The first tier is a standard rate which includes costs of water quality improvements, water security, regulatory expense, and low-income subsidies. The second tier rate is based on the cost for new water supplies and has a seasonal component. Prices usually run about $2,700 a year.
