    Telephone in London

Guides: London > Moving in / Telephone

The national company is British Telecom. BT website is http://www.bt.co.uk. If you need to call Directory Enquiries, dial 192 (153 for international numbers).

You might benefit from a voice mail service with your telephone subscription (if you ask for the service). To access it, dial 1571.

By dialling 1471, you will hear a message telling you the date and time of the last caller and their phone number.

The telephone is less expensive from Monday to Friday (before 8am and after 6pm) and during the weekend.

Hi, the directory enquiries number has changed from 192 to a new six digit format starting 118 xxx.

BTs directory enquiries is now 118 500
The only other one I can think of is 118 118 which is advertised heavily in the UK.
