Most companies provide babysitting services mainly to private clients, however,
service is available to a number of hotels. For one time service, the
typical fee is R 100 (ZAR). Rates are charged at double the above mentioned
rates, the day before public holidays, on public holidays and the day
after a public holiday. Notice of 48 to 72 hours is customary.
Hotels work on a completely different time scale, making service delivery more
difficult and more costly due to both time and candidate constrictions. Over
the high season, hotel rates increase (by R20 p/h), due to the fact that qualified
staff are generally booked far in advance and booking become extremely difficult
