Experience: Bradley Mercuur is a Technical engineering manager at Lean Energy Corporation.
At Lean Energy, he provides engineering consulting services to support clients with implementation of energy management systems (ISO 50 001), engineering design, energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions.
His duties include, modelling, consulting, design and implementation of engineering projects.
Bradley spent 6 months in California, USA to research the evolving digital economy, with focus on leadership’s reliance on data to make accurate and effective decisions in growing the next generation enterprise. His research included, facility of data, decisions that will be based on analyses using IoT's, which is still in its infant stages in South Africa and how to use our resources to develop IoT’s. With the focus on digitalization to drive socio-economic development in rural, urban and corporate communities across the globe.
Previously he was employed as Development Engineer and project engineer where he managed and commissioned various bottling, packaging and production plant expansion projects. Within the portfolio he championed energy efficiency, where he conducted energy and resource efficiency audits, provided best practice advice to plant engineers and project managed the implementation of saving initiatives.
Some of Bradley’s notable achievements are several cost saving initiatives implemented, which yielded good savings in energy and resources across various industrial sectors, such as oil and gas, automotive, retail and hospitality industries. He also facilitated the certification of an ISO 50 001 energy management system implementation.
Bradley holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, a Prince 2 Project Management qualification and an Energy Expert accreditation with the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO).
