    Emergency in Istanbul

Guides: Istanbul > Public Services / Emergency
    29/06/2008

The emergency numbers in Istanbul are as follows:

    • Fire: 110
    • Police: 155
    • Emergency: 112
    • Coast security: 158

These numbers are valid anywhere in Turkey and put you immediately in contact with the Turkish emergency services.

The services are free of charge and available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If you're calling from a card operated public phone, just directly dial the emergency number (cards are not needed to access any of these numbers). However if you use a coin operated public phone, you should insert the coin to place the call, the coin is returned at the end of the call.
