There are a variety of courses and classes offered through schools, community centres, and religious centres for adults. Check bulletin boards at grocery stores and centres for notices. Also, talk to friends and contacts to get recommendations about classes they take, as well as places to look.

Martial arts

There are many styles of kung fu taught in Taiwan taught by masters. Styles include Ba Gua, Tai Chi, Wing Chun, Praying Mantis, Shway Shiao and various weapons systems. Many of the students are westerners. If you are intense in your studies, there are courses and teachers who will provide paperwork needed to extend a student visa two times.
