Internship abroad

If you’re a European resident and you’re looking for internship possibilities in Sweden you should definitely consider the programmes set up by the European Commission. The E.U’s educational and training initiatives are collectively called the Lifelong Learning Programme and there are two main programmes available: the Erasmus and the Leonardo da Vinci.

Erasmus is the E.U’s flagship education and training programme and takes its name form the famous renaissance Dutch humanist and theologian. The aim of the programme is to allow students, teachers, trainers, as well as others involved in higher education, to travel to other Eurpean centres of learning and thereby nurture a European Higher Education Area (EHEA). The long term goal is to create more innovation, growth and jobs within Europe. In addition to offering young people excellent study experiences, Erasmus is also intended to provide participants with exposure to different cultures.

The Leonardo da Vinci programme focuses on the teaching and training of those involved in vocational education.

More information about the E.U’s training and exchange programmes can be accessed via their official website:

Of course you can also set up your own internship projects and the following internet databases will be of help:
