Movies are a popular form of Sunday entertainment in Lisbon. They are generally shown in their original langauge with Portugese subtitles. Tickets cost around E5, E3.50 with concessions. For reduced rates, head to the cinemas on Monday. The city's main theatres are listed below:

- São Jorge: Features five screens and a classic 1950's ambience. Located at Av da Liberdade, 175. Tel: 21 31 034 00
- Vasco da Gama: Has 10 screens and conveniently located at the Expo 98 Shopping Centre. Tel: 21 893 06 01.
