Electricity is provided through Electricidade de Moçambique a nationally-owned entity. Customers have the option to either pre-pay or post-pay, and the company will install a corresponding meter, if it does not exist at the property already. Customers are responsible for paying for the installation of the meter, any maintenance fees.
Mozambique's electrical outlets emit 230V, 50Hz. The country predominantly uses type C and F plugs. In areas of the country popular with South Africans, you are also likely to find type M plugs.
Water is provided through the Fundo de Investimento e Patrimonio do Agrastecimento de Agua (FIPAG). Users pay for water based on an increasing block structure. The CRA acts as a water regulatory body.
